This reporter lives in cloud cuckoo land

In this article in the Daily Mail she says:

Better provision is made for patients who earn incentive payments for family doctors, including those with heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure.

Is THAT THE REASON my Doctor’s surgery will not give me reassurance for misdiagnosed heart disease? Will that practice then loose the incentive payments for me????? So I earn them less money.

However, heart patients got more than four-fifths of the care they should have, says the study published today in the British Medical Journal.

Surely they should get five-fifths of the care ???

I get squat….nothing….zilch. I get told I am an ungrateful patient and get sent to the Mental Health Unit when I ask questions.

The study analysed data of almost 9,000 adults aged 50 and over, half of whom had one or more serious ailments. It showed substantially more care was provided for general medical conditions, with around three-quarters of optimal care delivered to patients…….Under new contracts, GPs get incentive payments for completing assessments such as blood pressure and cholesterol checks on heart and diabetic patients……………A spokesman for the Department of Health said: ‘Older people have a right to high-quality care, regardless of their age.’It is unacceptable for them to be treated any differently. ‘A lot of progress has been made already with the treatment and care of older people, but we recognise more can be done.’  Too right matey.

BUT then it is the English NHS not the Welsh farcical attempt.
